As we age, we lose volume throughout the face – not just in the cheek area.
Nanofat treatment is the current procedure for effectively building volume in the face. Nanofat treatment produces impressive facial rejuvenation results by achieving youthful volume distribution in the face. It can also be combined with a facelift – forehead lift or other facial tightening procedures.
Nano-fat transplantation of own fat tissue
The treatment of the patient’s own fat has been an integral part of the treatment spectrum of our practice for years, and the nano-fat treatment is the latest development here.
A pleasant side effect that our patients observe again and again is the significant improvement in skin quality after treatment, although the fat was only introduced into deeper layers. At the beginning, one did not know exactly why, but sallow skin became fresher and wrinkles disappeared. In the meantime, it is known that a new formation of blood vessels (angiogenesis) is responsible for this. Where more blood arrives, wound healing is better and the transport of nutrients is guaranteed. Other cell types trigger a small reaction that leads to more collagen formation.
The method has also proven effective for dark circles under the eyes. Several weeks pass before the growth and stem cells take full effect. However, the healed cells remain in the skin and improve its quality permanently.
In experienced hands, fat tissue transplantation is a very effective and safe method in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
How does it work?
With liposuction, fatty tissue is extracted from the abdomen, flanks, thighs and reintroduced into the appropriate part of the body. The fat cells are isolated and purified using special procedures and then transplanted. The fat is not simply injected, but very carefully and elaborately inserted into the recipient’s area like a pearl necklace using very fine cannulas. This is done three-dimensionally in a structural way: “3 D-lipostructure”.
In the meantime, several thousand treatments have been successfully carried out using this method to build up volume in the face, and the procedure is well established.
The difference between micro-fat and nano-fat
If the extracted fat tissue is specially removed and processed, so-called “nano-fat” is obtained, which lastingly and effectively improves the quality of the skin and scars. With nano-fat, the fat cells are much smaller, so that more precise shaping is possible, especially in the face.
